Good News!! Blu Homes, based in Waltham, Massachusetts, will continue its current line of home designs focused on value-oriented customers looking for healthy, green living at a mainstream price. 

Check out all the different designs they have! Wish I could replace my vinyl siding house with her mkBreezehouse.

Read this sad news on my Google Reader from Inhabitat today about Michelle Kaufmann Designs, which was featured in our  Chicago's Indiana-built SmartHome article in May/June issue.  Due to the bad economy, she had decided to close her  design firm.

I saw her on Big Ideas for Small Planet - the Green series on Sundance Channel more than a year ago. I was amazed how nice and green a "prefab home" can be! Wishing one day I will have the time and money to have my house built her way: Green, Smart, and modern!

I'm so sad to hear the news. Hope soon enough, the economy will pickup, and business like hers will be leading the Green Building again.
